Produced by SCAD with Ways & Means, the premier animated fashion film "Le Futur" illustrates the life and legacy of couturier Pierre Cardin, a titan of design for nearly seven decades.
Giving life to Cardin’s own reflections on his métier in conversation with SCAD President and Founder Paula Wallace, the film features legends in their own right André Leon Talley, Jean Paul Gaultier, Maryse Gaspard, and Jim Bittermann, who recount how Cardin transformed the world with his avant-garde sensibility and prescient vision.
Executive produced by SCAD President and Founder Paula Wallace and presented by SCAD FASH Museum of Fashion + Film, "Le Futur" is directed by Matthew Miller. A collaboration with SCAD alumni, the film represents one of many unique channels through which SCAD champions their work and careers.
