What To Do In Lake Atitlan

Описание: Lake Atitlan is a favorite amongst backpackers. There are no shortages of things to do around the lake with volcanoes, hikes, swimming, hostels, parties, boat rides, and Spanish courses from which. to choose.

You can hang around San Pedro and drink a bit. They also have full immersion Spanish classes for 2-3 weeks where you live with a host family and eat authentic meals.

You can climb any of the three surrounding volcanoes, each has an entrance fee and they are tough.

There is cliff jumping into the lake on the north side, where you get better views. The north side is also best for swimming.

On the east is Panajachel, where they have a Selina hostel that has a pool. The town is ugly though and has no hikes nearby.

Maybe the coolest thing to do around Atitlan is to take boat rides across the lake. You can jump from town to town, check them all out, swim on the west side, grab a beer or some food, and enjoy the afternoon.
