Fine Tune Your Miter Saw | Dewalt 779 Miter & Bevel Adjustment

Описание: A miter saw is used for a precise cut, but how do you know if your cut is accurate?

In this episode I review how to adjust the Dewalt 779 for both Miter Cuts & Bevel Cuts. It super easy, should take less than an hour, and shouldn’t need to be touched again.

Overall Steps to Adjust
Check Table, Fence, & Blade
Unplug your saw
Check to ensure your table and fence are both flat with a carpenters square
Rotate your blade to ensure it’s not bent or out of shape

Miter Cut
Set the saw to a 90 degree bevel cut (straight up and down)
Using your carpenters square against the fence, ensure the blade has no gaps along its length
Check the other side as well
If adjustments need to be made
Loosen the face plates of the angle guide
Tap it until the square is flush
Tighten the face plate

Bevel Cut
Rotate the blade to either + or - 45 degrees
Using a Digital gauge or a machinist square, check that it’s at 45
If not correct, adjust the appropriate fastener on the back of the saw
Repeat for other 45 degree cut
Bring saw to 90 degrees and measure with digital gauge or machinist square
If not correct, adjust with the appropriate fastener in the back of the saw
