Pakistani drones were spotted near the Line of Control (LoC) in the Poonch sector of Jammu and Kashmir on Friday evening, triggering an immediate response from the Indian Army. According to Army sources, two drones were detected around 8:00 PM near the LoC.
Indian troops opened fire soon after spotting the drones, forcing them to retreat back into Pakistani territory. Security agencies suspect that the drones were being used for smuggling weapons and narcotics across the border.
This incident is part of a recent surge in drone activity along the LoC, with similar sightings reported in Rajouri, Poonch, and Samba districts. The Indian Army remains on high alert and has activated anti-drone systems while launching search operations to prevent infiltration and cross-border smuggling.
