'Scared for my life': Man pulled from car during controversial traffic stop speaks out

Описание: Rochester, N.Y. (WHAM) — Activist group Save Rochester met with the media Thursday to talk about the controversial body-worn camera video from a traffic stop May 7, claiming it was the latest example of what the group calls racist police misconduct.

The man behind the wheel of that traffic stop, 22-year-old Marvin Taylor of Rochester, shared his perspective — saying that as a citizen, he expects law enforcement to keep him safe.

"I was scared for my life. I felt that if I rolled the window down my life was in danger," Taylor said. "These officers broke my window, dragged me out of the car, placed their hands on me, pulled my hands behind my back, pushed me to the ground, kneed me in the side and placed their knee on top of my neck."

Rochester police say they pulled Taylor over for an expired inspection sticker.
