In fact, when this album was planned, it was originally to be called "The Mills Brothers Salute To The Sisters," and the repertoire was selected from the hits of the Andrew Sisters (Beer Barrel Polka), the Boswell Sisters (Everybody Loves My Baby), the King Sisters (Imagination), the McGuire Sisters (Sincerely), the Dinning Sisters (Once In A While), the Chordettes (Mr. Sandman), the De Castro Sisters (Teach Me Tonight), and Patience & Prudence (Tonight You Belong To Me).

During the recording sessions, it was decided simply to pick the most exciting selection and let that be the title of the album, hence "Beer Barrel Polka," which won that particular derby hands down.

With proven material like this, plus the imaginative arrangements of Bobby Tucker and Johnny White, it hardly matters what the album is called, for once your needle explores the opening grooves, you won't pick it up until you've heard each song again and again.
