Roberts covered a chaotic clash in Minneapolis on January 17th, 2026 in which hundreds of ICE protesters confronted a small handful of right-wing agitators led by Jake Lang. In this video, we show a man portraying himself as an ICE protester—who earlier in the protest was spotted wearing a U.S. Border Patrol hat. At some point in physical clashes that happened throughout the protest, the man was laying on the ground (unclear if he was struck by protesters or if he fell). As a group of ICE protesters attempted to help him up, a large unmarked police vehicle arrived with several Hennepin County Sheriffs—and several officers retrieved the man and placed him in their truck.
