1.A HUGE bowl of chow mein, and small figurines.
We were excited to see the contrast of how the animation would be.
However, the shoot was difficult and got stuck many times.
Chow mein has moisture, which is unsuitable for stop motion, and the dolls' moves are limited.
We learned that when making a doll come to life, both boldness and gracefulness is needed.

2.This is the fourth series of Demonslayer with Tanjiro, Zenitsu, and Inosuke.
I put a little horror vibe into this shoot.
I always think about how I could put expressions into stop motion with the figures.
I used salt as snow, glycerin and gel as water.
In shooting stop motion, it’s hard to express water.
With glycerin and gel, it’s easier to use in a long shoot like stop motion.

3.I challenged the stop motion shoot of Dead Calm from “Demon slayer”.
I tried many ways of expressing water, and I came to the conclusion in using cloth made with Japanese patterns.
In my stop motion shooting, I use many kinds of objects, and it’s more interesting using things with texture.
There are many ways of expressing water, but I wanted to emphasize the use of material instead of using real water in this shoot.
