Pakistan and Bahrain have vibrant strong and cordial relations. Both countries are members of Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and group of developing countries G-77. There are lot of beneficial opportunities for both the countries in trade and investment, energy sector, food security, tourism, training and development and higher education. In the investment sector China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) provides enormous opportunities to Bahraini investors, especially in the energy sector. Pakistan’s geo-strategic location makes it a natural regional economic hub and energy corridor. In the same context, Bahrain’s location makes it an ideal gateway to GCC’s economy, its business community can benefit from the potential of project investment in tourism sector in Pakistan, as well as in infrastructure projects such as hotels, resorts, and parks, field of energy, downstream oil industry, port development, mining and minerals, banking and financial sectors. Both countries have Joint Ministerial Commission to enhance bilateral cooperation. Bahrain can increase its imports from Pakistan of high quality Basmati rice, Halal meat products, poultry, textiles and clothing, sports goods, surgical instruments, carpets, marble and cutlery. Pakistan offers Bahraini investors lucrative financial incentives and conducive business environment in the dedicated 'Special Economic Zones' established under CPEC.
