what is up ladies and gentlemen welcome back for another digital marketing video in today's tip video i'll be showing you how to claim your listing on bing places so to begin you'll want to go to the bing places for business dashboard and you can claim or verify your listing one of two ways if you have a google my business listing already set up then you can just import your data from your google my business listing to bing places and it's very simple to do this takes 30 seconds or if you don't have a google my business listing set up or you haven't claimed one then you can claim and add your business manually on bing places so we will go through this option
and then bing places will ask you what your business type is so i'll be showing you how to go through small or medium business size so 1 to 10 locations but if you manage a chain business of more than 10 locations and you would choose this option and again if you're just like this option you can either verify using google my business or in places will provide you with a excel spreadsheet template where you would include your desired information for the listings and then re-upload that template into big places to verify and automatically create those listings for your more than 10 locations so for our purposes i'll be showing you how to create a bing place for one location and it will ask you to either include your business phone number or your business name and location let's do that



and based on what you entered it should show a either available listing that you can claim and verify but if this doesn't happen then you can create a new business so here you'll just include your generic information such as your business name and your primary phone number

and then your address



and then as well as your website and for physical locations you can move your map pin so if it's on the right spot then you can move it to where your location is try that again



and then we can move on to the next part here you will list your category segment and so you'll have a pre-selected list of different categories for european places so you can choose one of these or if you're not sure then you can just select this option to manually enter a category so let's do that



and same here so for example you do finance or you can browse and select the categories that your business would fall in

and then you'd select your primary category for your business and give a quick description of what your business is all about



here you'll include any additional business details and specifically for this section if customers are expected to visit your address then you would select yes this is a business address and it will show your full address in the bing search results but if you don't have a physical location or you don't want people coming to your storefront then you just select no and it'll hide this address from the search results and only show the general city that your business is located in



and then you can fold the rest of this out and then click next and from here you will enter your contact details so what's a good email address for customers to email you at as well as your additional contact details for your social media profiles that will display alongside your listing on bing so these do something like that



and click next and here you can upload any relevant photos for your business and then one quick note the first image that you upload will be the logo or the header of your bing listing so i would recommend including your company logo are really good picture of your storefront as the first photo as you upload them here and if you have no images then you can just click next and then finally you will specify your working hours so i'll just say 24 7. or if you don't have specific working hours that you want to display then you can just skip this step


and then bing places will ask you to verify your business and you'll need to verify an order for it to appear on bing and typically there will be a couple of different methods for verification whether it's via a mail or postcard being mailed to your storefront sometimes it'll allow you to verify via a pin being sent to your email or via text message but for our purposes it's only allowing us to verify via post so then you will receive a mail postcard with the pin at your physical storefront in five to six business days so once you receive that verification pin then you can click on verify now
