The National Police Service has denied a plot to intimidate judges following the withdrawal of bodyguards assigned to Justice Lawrence Mugambi, terming the move administrative. Acting Inspector General of Police Gilbert Masengeli says the Service made necessary arrangements to ensure the safety of Justice Mugambi’s is guaranteed even after recalling the two bodyguards assigned to him for training. As Timothy Kipnusu reports, Masengeli however did not comment on his six-month jail term handed down by Justice Lawrence Mugambi.
