This a video showing the steps I use in making child 's western leather chaps as well as adult chaps. I use poster board for templates and make each part that will be cut into leather. You can use any size of child's pant as a template. On adult chaps I use metal swivel snaps for the connectors and the plastic connectors on the child's.
