Dean 33 Catamaran

Описание: We now have plans to go sailing
So we have started looking at yatch, 1st to look and learn and second to buy one
We have found this Dean 33, catamaran however this one needs lots of work
The wood work, basically needs to come out and replaced
The electrical and electronics need to be replaced with modern equipment
So basically am just interested in the shell

As it turns out, actualy know the owner personally, and had a chat with him
The price that he is willing to settle on remains very high for what it is, and the amount of work that is needed to prepare it properly for blue water cruising
The the boat is listed for R645 000, and the bottom line is R500 000
Apparently some navigation equipment was purchased when the boat was still in use, and never fitted, however it still needs to be fitted and a lot of others work is still required

However at this price, I am passing and for this price am considering building my own 45+ catamaran, yes it will be for a lot more money, however it will be new and build for my requirements from the word go

The boat was sold for R220 000
Was highly pissed off, as I though the owner was a friend
The old owner knew that I was interested, and would of even given him more then what he sold it for
