'Lost their argument': Malarndirri McCarthy points to Australian totems in Voice debate

The Australian’s Media Writer Sophie Elsworth has reacted to Labor Senator Malarndirri McCarthy’s latest argument for the Yes campaign in which she pointed to the kangaroo and emu totems as being “really important”.
Ms McCarthy made the comment during Seven’s Voice debate on Sunday as she ran out of time to speak.
“What was that all about?”, Ms Elsworth told Sky News host Rita Panahi.
“If that’s their argument where they’re trying to make us vote Yes in this referendum which is so important for us, moving forward, I think they’ve just lost their argument there,” Ms Elsworth said.
“The polls show that they are going down and going down badly.
“But let’s wait until Saturday, I’m always sceptical with polls.”
