This thing lives in a weird but interesting space:
Not a full-blown bagger
Not a naked cruiser
Somewhere in between — the “baby bagger” category
In this video I ride and review the Low Rider ST and break down why it’s so popular, and why the price might be the biggest problem.
What I liked:
🔥 Milwaukee-Eight 117 motor – this engine pulls like a freight train. Strong low-end, midrange for days, and zero drama when you twist the throttle.
-Minimalist gauge – simple, clean, and easy to read. No menu diving, no spaceship screens. Just ride.
-Style & stance – fairing, single bag, aggressive look. It wants to be ridden hard.
-Handling – lighter and more playful than a full bagger, especially in the twisties.
Where it loses me:
💰 Price – it’s getting dangerously close to full bagger money, and that’s a tough sell.
-Size identity crisis – you’re paying big dollars for something that’s still a compromise:
Less storage than a bagger // Less simplicity than a true cruiser
The Low Rider ST feels like Harley building a bike specifically for riders who want bagger vibes without committing to bagger life — and judging by how fast these get requested and ridden, they nailed that part.
But the question remains:
👉 Is the Low Rider ST worth the money, or does it make more sense to just step up to a full bagger?
