Federal Signal EOWS 612 Siren Test, Alert, Barrington, IL

For the first Tuesday this month, I was restricted to where I could go (unfortunately wasn't able to go to Evanston), however, I decided to come back to this 612 and film it in 60fps, but I was definitely not expecting it to have become so sick! When it first wound up I was really confused, and even thought that it was upgraded to an UltraVoice controller, but after a few seconds I realized that the SiraTone was definitely dying and the higher pitch tone was not audible. It reminds me of a lot of the one in Shelby OH. Barrington did, in fact, test alert and attack, but this 612 just did a full 3-minute alert and ignored both cancel tones sent out. The other 612 is heard throughout the video and is most prominent during its attack portion (better heard with headphones on). You may also be able to hear Cuba Townships 4004s at points, and from my vantage point in person, it was very creepy and amazing. Unfortunately, I believe this 612s day of service is numbered, but given that Barrington has kept both of them around for so long, I believe that there is some hope in it being fixed, but only time will tell.
