First thoughts, the reformulated version of Black Orchid EDT 2023 leans more feminine and is quite similar to the 2015 version, but it's much more wearable, stronger on the Orchid, and Patchouli.

After the initial spray, this fragrance opens with a sweet plum and orchid note.

After about 30 minutes, the Orchid note grows stronger, and the Patchouli note makes the scent much more earthy/green. Smells of luxury and elegance.

I sprayed a total of 5 times. Twice behind each ear, twice on the front of neck, and once in front of my chest. The projection is moderate, it fills a room within the first 10 minutes but turns to a skin scent fairly quickly. But longevity is good, it lasts approximately 8 hours on my skin, and few days on my clothes before disappearing completely. (Depends on skin types)

Considering the original Black Orchid was released in 2015, I think this version is much more modernised, versatile, and definitely less cloying to the amateur nose. Scent-wise, it's a very plum/orchid orientated fragrance, an attention grabber for sure with great longevity and good projection. 100% must try!
