We spend a few days discovering Terra Nova National Park from the Newman Sound campground. Explore the Park’s visitor centre, hike several scenic trails and stumble upon a beautiful beach just outside the park. With our failing house battery forcing us to rely on shore power, we regroup and begin planning where the road will take us next.
From Terra Nova we follow Route 320 along North Bonavista Bay, where we uncover Newfoundland’s most underrated coast and the picturesque communities of Greenspond and Newtown.
Along the way I discover a talented artist and rug hooker at Norton’s Cove Studio when we stop for lunch in Brookfield. The studio is located in what was once Kean’s General Store.
We spend a night at a lovely campground just outside of Greenspond and are treated to a wonderful sunset over South West Pond.
