The Chicago South Shore & South Bend Railroad operates freight and passenger trains in the states of Illinois and Indiana. The line street runs through the middle of 10th and 11th Streets in Michigan City, IN. This phenomenon and euphoria of street running may soon be gone, with the city legislature funding an 18th month, million dollar study on replacing and relocating the line to decongest motor traffic flow.
