NYC on streets, thousands bid farewell to NYPD officer Didarul Islam killed in Park Ave Shooting

Описание: Colleagues, friends, and family of slain New York Police Department (NYPD) officer Didarul Islam gathered at Parkchester Jame Masjid Mosque in the Bronx neighborhood of New York City for his funeral on July 31. Didarul was one of four killed in a mass shooting in a Manhattan skyscraper on Monday (July 28), before the shooter turned the gun on himself. He was an immigrant who left behind a pregnant wife, two young sons and distraught parents. Friends and officials in Bangladesh and the United States described him as a hero.
"These things shouldn't happen," said 11-year-old New York City student Tridib Saha.
