In this video, I talk about how I found a seven hundred dollar $700 room for rent near Washington DC.
In the beginning, I talk about how I used to live in Rochester, NY. I lived in a studio apartment and made around $52,000 per year. I decided I wanted to increase my income so I found a new job in Washington DC. I go into more detail as to why I moved to Washington DC.
I share some tips for finding a cheap apartment. There are websites like zillow, craigslist, facebook marketplace, and trulia that can help find apartments. The key is to have multiple roommates. My room was found on Facebook Marketplace and costs me $700 per month, with all utilities and internet included. It was a really good deal. I have five roommates. I share my bathroom with a flight attendant who is always gone.
While searching for cheap apartments online, it is very common to come across scams and fake listings. I talk about some of the common scams that occur and explain to you how you can identify them so you do not become a victim to a housing scam. I noticed there are a lot of Facebook marketplace scams, as well as Craiglist scams.
I discuss some of the amenities that are included in the house I live in. I also talk about how much each of my roommates pay in rent. Some pay more than me and some pay less. Finally, I talk about Unicorn deals, which are deals that are too good to be true. If you find a deal and can confirm that it's not a scam, then you need to act fast. You need to be willing to hop on a plane and take action immediately. Otherwise, those types of deals will vanish right before your eyes!
Paying $700 dollars a month for rent near Washington DC is a bargain. All utilities and internet are included. Living in the DMV area is doable, you just need to do a little research and be willing to live with roommates. The DMV area is DC, Maryland, and Virginia. If you have a job in DC, then you should consider living in either Maryland or Virginia, as they have cheaper and more affordable housing options. The District of Columbia is a very expensive place to live. In this video, I share with you how I found a seven hundred $700 dollar room for rent near Washington DC.
