My room was found on Facebook Marketplace and costs me $700 per month, with all utilities and internet included. It was a really good deal. I have five roommates. I share my bathroom with a flight attendant who is always gone.

While searching for cheap apartments online, it is very common to come across scams and fake listings. I talk about some of the common scams that occur and explain to you how you can identify them so you do not become a victim to a housing scam. I noticed there are a lot of Facebook marketplace scams, as well as Craiglist scams.

I discuss some of the amenities that are included in the house I live in. I also talk about how much each of my roommates pay in rent. Some pay more than me and some pay less. Finally, I talk about Unicorn deals, which are deals that are too good to be true. If you find a deal and can confirm that it's not a scam, then you need to act fast. You need to be willing to hop on a plane and take action immediately. Otherwise, those types of deals will vanish right before your eyes!

If you have a job in DC, then you should consider living in either Maryland or Virginia, as they have cheaper and more affordable housing options.
