190731-N-NO770-1044 ATLANTIC OCEAN (July 31, 2019) Hull Maintenance Technician 1st Class Brett Wing, assigned to the Wasp-class amphibious assault ship USS Bataan (LHD 5), cuts carbon steel using a cutting torch inside the metal shop while the ship is conducting a Surface Warfare Advanced Tactical Training exercise with other U.S. Navy warships. Warships assigned to the Bataan Amphibious Ready Group are participating in the exercise in the Atlantic Ocean, off the coast of Virginia, to maintain readiness, proficiency and lethality
