This is video #764 of my video posting project. I have been working on this project since November 2023--learning and posting a video of NEW piano music every. single. day!
Today's piece is "Believe" from "The Polar Express" by Glen Ballard & Alan Silvestri. This arrangement can be found in Hal Leonard's collection of Jazz Piano Solos in the volume called "Christmas Classics". This collection of jazz arrangements was written by Brent Edstrom.
Time for Christmas music to gear up for the season!! I originally skipped over this volume--it had a lot of songs that are unknown to me, but I skimmed through this the other day, and there are such beautiful treasures in this one. So fun side project for December!!
Wonderful ballad treatment of a very lovely song. I'm going to have to watch The Polar Express--I know it's a favourite of a lot of people during the holidays! This arrangement has such lovely rich sounding chords and is a lovely way to start the holidays.
