Описание: The Ministry of Health has imposed an immediate nationwide ban on 16 Fixed-Dose Combination (FDC) drugs, citing concerns over public safety and the rational use of medicines. Acting under Section 26A of the Drugs and Cosmetics Act, 1940, the Centre has prohibited the manufacture, sale, distribution, and use of these drug combinations across India. The decision follows a scientific review by an expert committee constituted by the Drugs Technical Advisory Board (DTAB), which found that the combinations lacked therapeutic justification and could pose health risks. State Drug Controllers and pharmaceutical companies have been directed to ensure immediate compliance.
