The state and defense has rested their cases in the trial for Jeanne Whitefeather and Donald Lantz, the husband and wife who were charged with human trafficking and child abuse after their adopted teens were found locked in a shed in Sissonville.
The nearly three-week trial marks the first time in state history that human trafficking has been heard in Circuit Court. Such cases are typically tried at the federal level.
