It's Unreal. The Unreal that gave us Unreal Tournament, and of course the Unreal engine. Back in the day, Unreal engine was rarely licensed compared to idTech, but nowadays its completely the opposite. But how is the game itself? A strange and beautiful sci-fi world with somewhat sparse combat against difficult, tenacious enemies -- kind of like Quake 1, but with more exploration and simple puzzles. Unreal pushes atmospheric storytelling almost as far as Half Life and is a good look into how the FPS was evolving.
I couldn't figure out how to get my joystick calibration recognized, so this is a rare mouse and keyboard stream for me. I'm not sure if I will play through the whole game or just a bit of it. I'll probably call it quits if I get too lost or frustrated. Mostly I just want to take a look for nostalgia's sake!
