The Earth becomes inhabitable by humans after a meteor shower hits the planet. Most survivors, humans, animals and plants became mutated by the radiation of the meteor fragments. Except Thomas who can adapt his molecular structure to any environment to survive.
In his constant search for survivors he faces threats like this one.
