Описание: Day 2 of the tour did not disappoint!

Meghan and Harry had a full schedule and started their events at Monwabisi Beach to sit and vibe with Waves for Change, the surf therapy group that focuses on helping kids in trying, often traumatic situations learn how to build trusting relationships as well as heal in a positive, supportive environment.

They also met and communed with the ladies of The Lunchbox Fund. The Lunchbox Fund provides free meals to Waves for Change, some schools and to kids in rural areas. For some kids, the meal provided by the Lunchbox Fund is their only meal for the day. They’re a critical organization so, so many.

Next, the Duke and Duchess spoke with Dr. Thomas Maes to learn about his goal of helping free 6 Commonwealth countries of litter.

Harry went then to Seal Island with a Special Marine Unit to hear about their efforts in preventing the poaching of abalone.

From there, the pair reunited and went to the Auwal Masjid Mosque in Bo-Kaap. This is the oldest mosque in South Africa. They spoke with different faith leaders to hear about interfaith efforts in South Africa.

Next, the enjoyed afternoon tea at one of the Bo-Kaap resident’s homes, and they ended their time in Bo-Kaap by enjoying a walkabout and the people waiting to see them.

The Duke and Duchess ended the night at the British High Commissioner’s home to meet some of South Africa’s young opinion formers and leaders.

The energy in South Africa is incredible, we are all looking forward to Day 3.
