Pre-Production (Plan + Story)

Aligned with Leapley on the goal: showcase the project, highlight the learning experience for KSU students, and reinforce Leapley’s professionalism and safety-first culture.

Built a simple story arc: welcome + project context → safety/PPE → walkthrough + key moments → craftsmanship/details → wrap-up.

Created a shot plan that mixed speaker-led moments with b-roll of the space, plans, and work-in-progress details.

Production Day (On an Active Construction Site)

Filmed in real working conditions—hard hats, safety vests, and awareness of active zones—so the crew could move efficiently without disrupting the tour or jobsite flow.

Captured a combination of:

On-camera tour guidance (the “through-line” of the story)

Student reactions and engagement (listening, gathering, reviewing plans)

Visual proof of progress (interiors, architectural features, construction details, and active work areas)

Captivating Visuals + Clean Audio

Shot steady, intentional walkthrough footage and coverage that makes viewers feel like they’re in the room—wide establishing shots, mid shots of the tour group, and detail shots of materials/fixtures.

Prioritized clear, professional sound by keeping the primary speaker intelligible in noisy environments, capturing controlled audio where possible, and recording supporting ambient sound to keep the scene authentic without overwhelming dialogue.

Post-Production (Bring It All Together)

Organized the footage around the strongest story beats, then layered b-roll to match what the speaker is describing—so it feels cohesive and easy to follow.

Cleaned and balanced audio, added music for momentum, and polished the look with color correction for a bright, professional finish.
