Round up of the 2018 RNRMC Brickwoods Field Gun Competition which took place in June 2018 at HMS Collingwood.
Brickwoods Field Gun (as per this video) and Command Field Gun (which happed at the Royal Tournament) are two very separate things. Both competitions formats date back to 1907 and used to run side by side, until the demise of the Royal Tournament brought Command field gun to an end in 1999. Brickwoods, which takes place at military establishments, simply kept on going as it had been, and has survived to this day. Brickwoods was open to only Portsmouth teams until 1975 and opened to all Services after the demise of the Royal Tournament. Brickwoods isn't a modern replacement, it's its own competition with its own history.
