Matt Allwright hears from Joe and Giles, leaseholders in high-rise buildings in London and Manchester, about how building insurance costs soared after fire safety defects were discovered after Grenfell.

A review by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) also discovered that freeholders and managing agents were raking in commissions on the inflated insurance costs. Leaseholder and lawyer, Liam Spender, is fighting back by organising a class action (read more or sign up at leaseholderaction.com).
