Another Hyrox training session in the books. Only 59 days until Hyrox Atlanta. If y’all didn’t know, aerobic threshold training is straight-up trash. Like, worst training day of the week, no contest. Imagine running just fast enough to be miserable, but not fast enough to actually get it over with… then living in that misery for an hour or more. That’s aerobic threshold.
In the Hyrox world, we call this magical place “tha suck.” And trust me, if you finish an aerobic threshold session and don’t immediately start questioning all your life choices, congrats—you didn’t go hard enough.
Today’s WOD (aka torture menu):
3 rounds of:
• 500m run at “who hurt you?” pace
• 750m ski erg (aka rowing, but standing up for some reason)
• 750m row (because why not double down on rowing)
• 15 cal airbike (aka the devil’s cardio machine)
Finisher:
5x20 sec wallballs with 10 sec rest (just enough time to regret your existence).
