This meditation tells the myth of Demeter's transformation from the Mother to the Wise, Wild Woman, as she witnesses the abduction of her daughter, Kore, into the underworld. This is a mythological representation of the Pre-menstrual, or luteal phase that women experience on a subtle level every day 18 until 28, or until they bleed. It's also representative of the process of Menopause.
