Описание: Sorry for making fun of this game. The cuteness challenged my manliness so much that I didn't want to try it, but after reading Geffreyy's review I am reconsidering.

When I first saw videos of Knight Age the mounted combat and cutesy graphics was cringe-worthy because these kinds of games pop up like every day. However, knight age is an exception.

Character Development
You start off as one of the four gender locked classes, but you can invest into the skill trees of other classes. As you lvl up your main class will automatically lvl up, but you also gain Job Points(JP) to lvl up either your main class even more or a different class of your choosing.

In all the different trees the passive skills don't require a set weapon to use, but the active skills do. You can only have 2 weapon sets equipped at a time so you can only use the active skills from two different trees. You can still invest into getting three different jobs up if you just want the passive skills from a certain tree (or if you want the stats from lvling that tree).

You get 2 JP per lvl. In order to lvl your main job further you have to spend 2 JP. The other trees require only 1 JP to lvl. A secondary benefit to lvling up trees (besides unlocking skills in that tree) is that each lvl grants stat points. So as a Warrior if you invest into Knight you will have tankier stats. On the other hand if you invest just into your main class 1.) you will unlock high lvl skills sooner 2.) you will have more skill points to spend into that tree 3.) your stats will cater to a particular niche (for instance higher int/wis as Mage).

Leveling
It is boring as hell. It's just quest grinding.

Graphics/Gameplay/Art-Style
The artstyle is anime-cartoony, nothing new. The gameplay is very smooth, you are not rooted in place during skill effects and mobs/players can LOS behind you. Overall, a very smooth gameplay experience.

Pets
Pets are not uncommon in these types of games. Pets in this game are called pupas. There is a wide variety avaialable. Some cause elemental damage, some use bow ranged attacks, some specialize in healing. The pupas have varying abilities, varying merge stats that they can impart if absorbed, and varying elemental affinities. The pupa that you get depends on two factors, 1.) the location where you got the egg, 2.) the color of the egg. Details http://kao.wikia.com/wiki/Pupa_Table. Aside from the generic pupas of each type there are also unique rare ones you can sometimes hatch, they have prefixes, or titles and an altered appearance. Pupas come with 2 abilities by default, they gain these abilities by lvl 6 and the abilities lvl up as they lvl up. Aside from the default abilities, Pupas can gain 3 new abilities, these abilities are unlocked as you collect all the pupas of a particular type i.e. all the different prefixes.

Mounts
Mounts in this game play a bigger role than just transport. As you may know already, there is mounted combat, which seems a bit gimmicky at first. What makes it somewhat unique is that the mounts can lvl up, as they lvl up you can put points into passive talents which affect the rider of the mount. Aside from shared passive talents which affect the rider's base stats, there are also unique talents that are unique to each type of mount.

Formations
In a party, a party leader can choose a formation and others in the party have to move next to the party leader in a specific formation. As long as everyone maintains that formation the bonus from that formation is maintained. The formation can also apparently lvl up. Bonuses include movement speed % or stat/defense % bonuses. I myself haven't done formations so I don't know if the formation is maintained automatically or everyone in the party has to actively coordinate to maintain it.

The mechanics are quite interesting and the graphics and gameplay feel high quality.

The game is quest-grindy, yes. But, it wouldn't be nearly as grindy if people grinded dungeons like in Eden Eternal. There are repeatable dungeon quests which hardly anyone knows about and people don't use the very polished party-finding system (no surprise).

The skills in the game (for Warrior atleast) aren't generic attack skills. Skills give Higher/Lower damage depending on whether you attack the mob/player from the front, sides or back. There are also interesting buffs such as higher crit rate from behind, and passives that increase certain modifiers if you block, crit or evade.
