Universal Studios will build its first European theme park in the UK, on a former brickworks site near Bedford, aiming to open by 2031.
The multi-billion pound project could create 28,000 jobs and attract 8.5 million visitors in its first year. Most jobs will go to locals in Bedford, Luton, and nearby areas.
Prime Minister Keir Starmer said the park will put Bedford on the global map, calling it a major boost for the UK economy.
Construction is set to begin in 2026, using British steel where possible.
Universal already runs parks in the US, Japan, Singapore, and China.
