Описание: The band that did 15wks No.1 in 1984 with 3 singles... spend over 70wks on the charts in that year... they were gigantic. When they returned with a 2nd album in 1986 and released this single, I expected an entry at No.1! But... No.7 and climbed to No.4... Like Relax, it nearly got a ban! Just from the title, they thought it was something rather rude! lol
Like all their singles, there were so many versions, it was easy to make a crazy long PupMix. However, this has taken a long time to create... actually years, as this was made years ago, but as i'd done nothing for weeeks! I thought lets do something that is nearly finished... this wasn't the one I started a couple of weeks ago haha! And since then began a new mix! Which may be uploaded in a few weeks.
The album it was from was disappointing for one reason, as the previous one, 'Welcome To The Pleasure Dome' was a huge double album epic! This 'Liverpool' being just a normal length, but every track excellent, proving that Frankie weren't a one off... but sadly then split up. Imagine what else they could have come out with otherwise! ...Holly Johnson went solo, and had a couple of great top 10s from it. In felt he lost the greatness in writing after that. And why didn't they play Live Aid... they were asked! Holly wanted to! But the manager and rest of the band didn't want to... bit of a shame! It would have livened things up a bit... Sade is OK, but for something like that, I thought a lil dull... and so much of a solo artist tinkling on the piano... Nice, but not exciting!
Just a thought... Simple Minds were kicking botty in the U.S. side of Live Aid... so were told to cut it short... get off after the 2nd song... then told to carry on, and halfway though... got cut off! I think someone there was playing silly buggers as the Brits were showing them how it should be done! HAHA!!!
