Primitive Fishing: Deer Bone Hook & Nettle Line

Описание: After several fishing trips in a month of primitive fishing with a variety of bone hooks that I made, using different fishing methods, & only having a few close chances at landing a fish, I finally hooked & landed a fish. I have been hand catching my bait, but I didn’t have time for that since I spent most of my day making the deer bone barbed fishing hook with stinging nettle fishing line that caught this channel catfish later the same evening, so I used chicken liver for bait. I actually hooked this catfish in its whisker, which I have only done that once before with a regular metal fishing hook. I could see that it still had the bait in its mouth & it also regurgitated the bait from the other bone hook that I was fishing with. I was fishing with two deer bone hooks on the same line with stinging nettle leaders that I made from materials that I hunted & gathered. The fish broke off the barb on the hook however, the hook did it’s job already so I’m happy. I believe this will be the best catfish that I’ve ever tasted. It’s certainly the most difficult & well earned catfish.
