Even though Islam is very much a minority in Estonia, their presence is very present and growing, although slowly.Because the majority of Estonians do not know Islam. For them, religion is not important and is not a basic need, what they need is material things, position and high social status.

Islam in Estonia is a minority religion. According to census data in 2011, 1,508 Estonians or 0.14% of the total Estonian population are Muslims. Some data states that their number is 2,000 residents.
According to 2008 estimates, there are around 4,000 Muslims living in Estonia. The largest Muslim groups in Estonia consist of Tatars (of Mishar origin) and Azeris. There are also a small number of Muslims who come from various regional and ethnic backgrounds (including those who converted to Islam). The majority of Muslims in Estonia are Sunnis except Azeris who are Shia. Most Estonian Muslims live in or around Tallinn
