Scania has developed a new autonomous truck concept called AXL, which comes without any cabin.
As the automaker claims in a release, the Scania AXL truck is built on a modular platform that is the core of the company's design.
This Scania AXL autonomous truck can be used in the mines and large closed construction sites.
Commenting on the self-driving truck concept, Scania’s President and CEO Henrik Henriksson, said, "With the Scania AXL concept truck, we are taking a significant step towards the smart transport systems of the future, where self-driving vehicles will play a natural part. We continue to build and pilot concepts to demonstrate what we can do with the technology that is available today."
