In this final chapter of Waltraud’s restoration, I’m tackling the "greasy mess" and turning a gearbox that looked like it belonged on Darth Vader’s private yacht back into a bright shining beauty.

But it wasn't all smooth sailing. A 40-year-old bolt and a previous mechanic's "wrist torque" led to a near disaster that almost halted the entire build. Watch how a welder, a chisel, and a bit of luck saved the day in the most satisfying moment of this project.
