Why We Need to Conserve Water

Living things need water. Flowers, trees, monkeys, bees, and you; we all need it to live. The Earth is 70% water, but less than three percent of that is freshwater, the water we drink. And though it is a renewable resource, we still need to be careful of how much we use. Some areas are very dry, while others are wet. Just like sometimes some places experience droughts while others don't. So conserving water is important both for your local area and around the world. We need to make sure that everyone can get water. Plus, cleaning water takes fossil fuels, a contributor to climate change, so being more careful is important for humans and all creatures and the environment. 🌱
