Compiled from the public launch of Walk In My Shoes — The Immersive Experience, held at The Living Gallery Outpost on Friday, March 22nd, 2019.
The immersive exhibition leveraged new media technologies in order to challenge bias and explore lived otherization. Participants were invited to step into the shoes of Naureen and follow her journey as a young Muslim-American woman.
By allowing individuals to walk in the shoes of minorities, we aim to build a more inclusive world — particularly in environments where the complications of diversity arise daily.
