The UK Government needs to consider whether its “firewall is enough” to protect the country from electoral interference, Steve Reed has said.
Announcing an independent review into foreign financial interference in UK politics, the Housing, Communities and Local Government Secretary said this would provide an in-depth assessment of the current financial rules and safeguards and make recommendations.
It is expected to report back by March.
