Trivia:
The big red barn at 0:33 was said to be Station 7 of the Underground Railroad by Arlene in the previous chapter. Upon going inside, it is evident that the Combine got to the occupants before Freeman does by way of headcrab shells
There is a callback to the barrel/ramp puzzle at 3:05 in the game Black Mesa, a re-imagining of HL1, in the chapter Apprehension

The APCs in the garage at 8:49 can be destroyed if enough grenades are tossed at them
The .357 Magnum, or Colt Python, makes its return from HL1 at 17:00

The music track that plays at 23:08 is "Diabolical Adrenaline Guitar" (renamed "Lambda Core" in HL2), which was composed by Kelly Bailey for HL1. In that game, it played in two instances: the first big fight with the HECU in "We've Got Hostiles!", and the first tank battle in Surface Tension
