in this video, you'll hear meaningful stories of folks who have visited Selah Carefarm, demonstrating how this model supports the traumatically bereaved. research studies show this model leads to:

-long-term improvement in health and well-being, including reductions in depression and anxiety (Gorman & Cacciatore, 2022)
-lower trauma levels as a result of retreats (Thieleman & Cacciatore, 2020)
-strengthened emotional resilience (Thieleman et. al, 2021)
-reduction in physiological markers of stress, including cortisol, heartrate, anxiety, and possibly blood pressure (Ein et. al, 2018) due to encounters with animals
