Comment indicator indicates the cell where you have added comments in excel. By default, it is a red triangle placed on the upper right corner of each cell where you have placed a comment.
There is a way to remove this red comment indicator. Actually, this is an Excel Feature that allows us to hide/display comment indicators.

In this tutorial I’ll show you how to hide or show comment indicator red triangles on excel

Step 1: Click on “File Menu”
Step 2: Click on “Options”
Step 3: Click on “Advanced”
Step 4: Under the display option you’ll find radio button saying “For Cells with Comments, Show:”
Step 5: Select “No comments or Indicators”

This will hide comments as well as the red comment indicator. Now if you need to Show comments and Comment Indicator; go back there and select “Indicators only, comments on hover”. This will take you back to its original position. This is how you hide comment indicator without excel vba.
