Stop the Silent Abuse of Our Children Online – Cybergon Warns Internet users, Parents and Schools against cyber bullying of children
Benedict Ugwuja, Lead Consultant at Cybergon Cybersecurity, has raised alarm over the rising cases of cyberbullying targeting Nigerian children. Speaking on the need for digital safety, he said, "If you don’t teach a child the right thing the right way, they will learn the right thing the wrong way."
The UK-based firm, which has presence in Nigeria, is running Project 14—a nationwide initiative to equip schools with cybersecurity tools and training. Ugwuja urged parents and educators to monitor children’s online activities and educate them early on how to handle online threats.
He warned that cyberbullying is not just emotional—it can ruin lives, lead to depression, and even suicide if ignored.
"Let’s work together to protect our children from hidden online dangers," he said
