Northeast Ohio weather forecast: Things are about to get VERY cold

Описание: Your 6 p.m. Northeast Ohio weather forecast for Jan. 16, 2026: Clouds have quickly filled back in this morning as our next system tracks closer. A few snow showers will move in overnight, but will not produce impactful accumulation. Our southern counties have the best chance of seeing an inch or so of accumulation. Temperatures will hang around the 30 degree mark overnight.

The weekend will be filled with a series of weak troughs sliding east through Northern Ohio. A cold front will pass through on Saturday morning. Widespread snow will spread in through midday. Many locations will pick up an inch to 2 inches. morning temperatures will start off in the lower and middle 30s through the morning. Once that cold front moves by, expect temperatures to fall through the 20s during the afternoon on Saturday.

Sunday will be mainly quiet and frigid. Highs will be mainly in the teens to near 20 degrees. Another reinforcing shot of Arctic air will arrive late Sunday into early Monday. This will introduce real bitter cold air from Monday into Tuesday.

Overall highs will struggle to get out of the low 10s. Dangerous wind chills well below zero are likely beginning Monday afternoon. By Tuesday morning, wind chills could drop to minus-20 or minus-25 degrees in some spots across Northern Ohio!
