No doubt about it,.. this is an ICONIC rock drum track… Iconic rock artist John Mellencamp and iconic rock drummer Kenny Aronoff laying it down. This song will live forever and it was a pleasure getting to play it on The Voice behind Josh Gallagher… I even put together a little Kenny A kit homage, with the second rack being smaller than the first. So fun getting to pretend to be one of my drumming heroes! Thank you Kenny Aronoff for your innumerable contributions to the drumming universe!
I so enjoy getting to play some rock drums… it feeds my not-so-inner caveman. I hope you enjoy this angle of the performance as it went down, and as always, I’m just hoping to share a little access from behind the scenes…
