My debut album, Selected Works (2022–2025), is now available.

This album is a collection of 16 selected improvised recordings made between 2022 and 2025.

Over the past seven years, I’ve been exploring improvisation as a way of structuring music through recurring motifs.

Where most music develops into a ‘piece’ through the unfolding of a single motif, the tracks on this album resist narrative progression.
They prefer repetition. They choose to remain in the same place.

In the absence of a narrative, the music forms new meanings in its relationship with each listener.
Through repetition, the motifs become etched into the mind — to be reassembled and re-recorded within the listener, even after the music ends.

저의 첫 앨범 Selected Works (2022-2025)가 발매되었습니다.

이 앨범은 2022년부터 2025년까지의 녹음본 중 선별된 16개의 즉흥 연주 트랙으로 이루어져 있습니다.
지난 7년간 저는 모티프가 반복되며 구조화되는 즉흥 연주에 대해 탐구해 왔습니다.

보통의 음악은 하나의 모티프를 통하여 ‘곡’으로 발전되어 나갑니다. 하지만 이 앨범의 수록된 음악들은 서사적으로 전개되지 않습니다. 그것들은 반복되기를 원하며 같은 곳에 머뭅니다.

이야기를 하지 않음으로써, 음악은 듣는 이 각자와의 관계 속에서 또 다른 상을 만들어냅니다.
반복되어 각인된 모티프는 음악이 종료된 후, 듣는 이의 내면에서 재편집되고 다시 기록될 것입니다.
